Hi,
Myself Krishna Nand Giri raised some bills to Indus towers Ltd. for electrical works. They deducted 2% tds and 2 % WCT on full invoice value. Please tell me how can i claim wct amount which is deducted by Indus.

WCT- works contract tax TDS can be set off against your Work contract tax(VAT) payable to VAT department

If you are not registered under the VAT Act of your state, you cannot claim the 2% WCT. If you are a registerd VAT dealer, obtain a certificate from the deductor in the prescribed form of VAT of your state and set off that amount against your VAT liabilty of that particular month while filing the VAT return.
