I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHETHER RENT WAIVED IS TO TREATED AS EXPENSE OR INCOME IS TO BE REDUCED.

pls check that my assumption are correct.
1. The rental income was taken under Income from House property.
If it is yes,
than deemed income will come into picture, so question of waiver doesnt arises

I WAS REFERRING TO RENT FROM COMMERCIAL PROPERTIES FOR COMMERCIAL PURPOSES....SUCH AS RENT PAID BY SHOPS IN MALLS...
WHAT SHOULD BE THE TREATMENT IN THE BOOKS OF MALL OWNER.......IF A PORTION OF THEIR RENT IS WAIVED BY THE MALL OWNER
