Very urgent service tax query

13 December 2011 i want to know that we have registered under two construction services i.e. construction of industrial and comercial complexes and work contract service . my question is that we had also provided service relating to construction of resedential complexes also during the year and had not intimated the dept. till date by mistake. now when we will be filing our return , will it be a problem? please help its urgent!!!!!!

13 December 2011 You can now just amend your Service tax registration certificate online, take a printout and submit to your jurisdictional excise office. after confirmation from department, you will be able to file your service tax return online for the new service also. Please be hurry, Last date for e-filing is 26.12.2011.

13 December 2011 there is one more query , one of the challans had been filled under commercial construction instead of works contract, would it affect ,if yes then what to do know

15 December 2011 Just write an letter to chief accounts officer with a copy marked to your jurisdictional AC/DC and Range Superintendent that you have wrongly deposited the tax into commercial construction service instead of work contract requesting him to transfer the same into work contract from commercial construction service under intimation to you. After that they will issue the letter to respective department at Chennai to settle the issue.
