17 July 2011 Dear Sir's or friends,

Will i get VAT sett off on purchase of Electrical Fittings, Fixtures (Bathroom accesories) on my office which is getting newly constructed. My Vat consultant has said no for Vat settoff, but i still have a question on it. Please help me.

17 July 2011 Set off is available but after some % reduction in many states,

e.g. Maharashtra VAT

Rule 53 (7A) :
Office equipments and furniture and fixture, if the same is treated as capital asset :
Reduction of 3% of Purchase Price
