Hi,
Please tell me that if VAT is applicable on food if a person stays and order food in a hotel itself.
Also, please clear the applicability and rates of vat on hotel industry.

Yes VAT is Applicable.
Also Vary State by State VAT Law.
If Your Hotel in Star Catagory Then Need to 13.5%/14.5% as in State.
if Not in Start catagory Then Need to pay 5%, Input Credit Allowable.
Also Vary State by State VAT Law.
