VAT and TDS same applicable in one time

18 March 2011 we Reapir a machinery of rs 150000, But service provider charged VAT. Should I Deduct the Tds or not

Alot of cases most service provider charged VAT instead of Service tax.
due to right to use act. it is applicable in Manufacturing comapny also.

Basically it is happend in interior or construnction company and sime time in Manufacturing company also
