23 July 2010 if form 15 G/H given than the interest received by the assessee has to declare interest in the ITR and whether it is taxable or not????

23 July 2010 Interest has to be offered for taxation irrespective of whether 15G/H has been given or not.

23 July 2010 Form 15G/H does not make the interest non-taxable. it just helps the assessee not to get the tax deducted at source

23 July 2010 Yes ,both the things are altogether different.Yes ,it may happen that still your tax due is Nil due to exemption limit as per IT slabs but this form will not make the income itself as non taxable.
