Overtime income in salaried person case

This query is : Resolved

Quick Summary
This discussion addresses where a salaried individual should declare overtime income received separately from their regular salary. The consensus is that if the overtime is paid by the same employer, it should be included under the 'salary' income section. This is relevant even if Form 16 was not provided due to the total income being below the taxable limit.

08 August 2025 Dear Sir / Madam,

I have query regarding that a person received overtime income apart from his salary income for his extra hours work. Overtime income paid via bank. Now, where I have to show this income while filling ITR-1 or ITR-2?

Thanks and regards,

08 August 2025 Isn't it included in salary, as per form 16?

08 August 2025 Below taxable limit so form-16 not provided that's why doing manually calculation form salary slip and bank statement

08 August 2025 below taxable limit so form-16 not provided that's why doing manually calculation from slary slip and bank statement

08 August 2025 If is from the same employer, add it in to salary.

23 September 2025 Good luck....
