02 September 2009 Dear Members
Under PGBP head,if Business Profits is Rs.10000 and depreciation to be deducted is Rs.100000.Then there will be business loss of 90000.But what is this unabsorbed depreciation which arise because of inadequacy of Profits? Is this loss of Rs.90000 itself is unabsorbed depreciation? And in case setoff as IT order should be Current depn,B/F Business loss,Unabsorbed depn.I have doubt regarding this B/F Business loss and Unabsorbed depn?

please clarify me this..........

02 September 2009 Yes, This is Unab. Dep

02 September 2009 then what is need to be considered as business loss and when?

02 September 2009 unab. dep is that portion of dep. which has not been set off against the income.

eg. business income is 100000, dep is 30000 and exp. is 80000 than
unab. dep is 10000.(100000-80000-30000)

nw if exp. is 110000 than

business loss of 10000 and unab. dep of 30000.

02 September 2009 Thanks prakash and Devanshi for ur early reply...........
