12 April 2015 Sir , I received a email from INCOME TAX DEPARTMENT STATING THAT MY RETURN FOR THE A.Y 2013-14 HAS BEEN DECLARED INVALID U\S 139(9), ERROR CODE 38. PLEASE HELP ME WHAT SHOULD I DO NOW ?

12 April 2015 The defect has to be rectified and you have to upload the rectified return by selecting the option of Return U/s 139(9).

12 April 2015 it seems you have filed the return without paying the full tax liability. So kindly pay the remaining tax and refile the rectified return with complete tax payment details.
