MY IT FILE IS AT JHARKHAND STATE(GIRIDIH)
ADDRESS AT PRESENT BUT I WANT TRANSFER IT
AT ASSAM (GUWAHATI)ADDRESS .

BUT MY IT REFUND IS PENDING DUETO TDS NOT
SHOWN IN TDS STATEMENT 26AS FROM ASST. YR.
06-07 TO 10-11 . NOW IF I TRANSFER THE IT
FILE AT ASSAM THEN AFTER WE GOT THE
REFUND OR NOT ? AND WHERE I GOT THE REFUND
, BECAUSE ASST.YRS.06-07 TO 08-09 IT
RETURN FILE AS MANUL.BUT FROM ASST. YRS.
09-10 & 10-11, I FILED IT RETURN FILED AS
ONLINE .

PLEASE SUGGEST ME I TRANFER MY IT FILE
FROM JHARKHAND TO ASSAM NOW OR AFTER
GEETING REFUND. VERY URGENT

31 July 2011 Getting the refund may take time. First you change the address of your PAN Card. After change of address in PAN Card you apply to the Income Tax Officer Jharkhand and a copy to Commissioner of Income Tax, Jharkhand to transfer your file to Guwahati. In the same manner you give the copy to the Income Tax Officer Guwahati (Assam) and Commissioner of Income Tax,Guwahati (Assam)to receive the file on transfer from Jharkahand. Mind it that you have to affix Re.1/- court fee stamp on your application for transfer.

Ask the TDS deductor to file the correct return and the tax credit will appear automatically.
