Transfer of articleship

01 February 2013 I am an article who has completed just 5 months of his articleship period. Now, I want to take transfer but my Principal is asking to wait in the same firm for more 3 months. I cant afford to stay here because then I will loose my chances of getting into better firm. Please help as soon as possible.

I will suggest you to take sign on Form-109 from your principal and file the same for transfer.

Request for transfer not accompanied by consent of Principal shall not be accepted.

In case of dispute between principal and articled assistant, the matter be settled amicably among the articled assistant and the principal concerned and the Institute shall not interfere in such cases.

02 February 2013 So there's no alternative action which I can take if my Principal denies giving me transfer immediately ?

03 February 2013 Yes, Principal sign is must.
