To get back excised duty paid

27 October 2012 Hi Sir,

I am a merchant exporter from hyderabad & i use to buy the goods from the manufacturer by paying the excise duty & vat its nearly 18%..

The same goods i sell to mumbai party, who is exporting the goods to dubai.. & he is submitting the ct-1 bond to me for taking goods without payment of duty.

In that case i am unable to bill the excise duty part because he is exporting the goods..

In that case how can i get back the excise duty which i already paid to the manufacturer. Please clarify is there any clause to get back the ED.

Please let me calrify what is the procedure for getting back the duty from excise department.

28 October 2012 CT-1 can't be issued for merchant exporter to merchant exporter. A merchant exporter can buy the goods from manufacturer on behalf of CT-1 without payment of duty for export purpose. Only you can sale the goods with payment of duty to your mumbai party can export the goods then they can file rebate of duty.
