To affix stamp on CA Final Examination form is mandatory

Dear all,
Can any1 solve my query.........
1st) Whether affix of chartered firm stamp is manadatory???????
2nd) My articleship period is going to be completed on 23rd september 2010. My principle under which my articleship is undergoing has resigned as partner from the firm 1 month back but not surrender his COP. now senior partner told me you need not to take 109 you will get 108. now the main problem is that my examination form has been signed by my principle but senior partner has told me to submit the form without affix the firm stamp since he is no more partner in the firm. Please help me in this regard..........
