Time limit for claiming refund

What is time limit for claiming refund from IT dept for a salaried person ? Also want to know section number under which it can be claimed ?

You have to file the tax return under section 139. The last date to file the return is one year from the end of the respective assessment year. For eg. For fy 2013-14, the last date is 31 march 2016.
