Threshold limit in service tax since 1994 to 31st March 2007 is 4 Lacs, afterward till 31st March 2008, it is 8 Lacs, From 1st April 2008 to till date it is 10 Lac.

Originally there was no threshold limit for service tax till 01.03.2005.
Threshold limit of 4 lakhs w. e. f. 01.03.2005.
