pl confirm whether surcharge and education cess is applicable on TDS rate under Section 193? payment is to be made to resident. thank you.

no. no surcharge or education cess is applicable on TDS rate for 193. surcharge is applicable only in case of foreign companies where payment exceed Rs 1 cr. and edu cess is not to be added except for sections 194B and 194BB, 194E & 194G, 194LB (that too only in case of foreign companies.
