TDS Refund from CPC, Bangalore

28 March 2011 Dear Experts,

We had E-filed our income tax return for the A.Y. 2009-10 for claiming the refund amount.

The above mention refund for the A.Y. 2009-10 already issued to us but it was returned undelivered by postal department due to incorrect address.

Local officer is asking us to contact CPC, bangalore helpline no which is continuously coming engaged.

So Pls guide me what should be done to get the refund cheque at earliest.

28 March 2011 Refund checks are issued from Mumbai.
So it is better to take the following course of action.
i) Send a letter to CMP, State Bank of India at SBIFAST 31, Mahal Industrial Estate, Off Mahakali Caves Road, Andheri East, Mumbai - 400 093, Phone Number: 18004259760. Correct bank account number, MICR number and postal address may be mentioned in the above said letter.

ii) Send a copy of the above letter to your Assessing Officer.

iii) Retain a copy of the letter referred above with you.

28 March 2011 We had contacted CMP first but they had guided us to contact local assessing officer. But Local authority has guided us to CPC. But no body is picking up toll free no at CPC.
