22 February 2011 Dear Expert,

We an employer TDS on Salary paid for the FY2007-08 &AY-2008-09 through Bank by challan 281.Its a mistake from bank TDS on Salary Section 92B not put instead of Winning from Lotteries (Sec.94B)put as system.The above challan (e-TDS)return already made for the FY2007-08.After 3 yrs back 26AS through confirm the above mistakes.Now Bank accept their mistakes & confirm the above matters letter provide to me & show to Income Tax Office.
Pl suggest & confirm the procedure in this matter ASAP.

24 February 2011 If you have recd any notice from IT deptt then reply the same giving the copy of bank's letter so that you AO can rectify the same.

24 February 2011 If no letter is recd from ITO then also you can voluntarily write to NSDL regarding this error( with the bank's letter).

You must specify the period & the etds return acknowledge receipt(attaching the copy of the same)
