Tds on retainership.

This query is : Resolved

06 September 2013 could any one suggest me that how can i save my tds amount on retainership. my salary is 18k gross. Rs 1800 is deducted pm as tds @ 10% on 18000. i m not crossing exemption limit of income tax. Should i apply for refund in year end at one point of time. Or whether should i look for form 16A or 26 AS.

06 September 2013 since the retainership, your income covered under sec.194J 10% TDS. you can wait till the year end and after the year end, you need to file the income tax return and claim the TDS deducted, that time if your income is less then taxable limit, then all the TDS deducted from you will be refunded. always check the form 26AS for the updation of tds deduction in your PAN by the deductor
