Tds on bus body service

A company is in receipt of a Bill for Its Bus Body Repairs. But the bill is loaded with 14.5% VAT. Now the repairing workshop tells that this service is not liable to TDS. Is it right not to deduct TDS.

It depends on terms & amount of Service Charges for Bus Body Repairs
As because if the same is AMC and the amount is more than the limit specified then TDS is required to be deducted
since here in your case there is sale /consumption of some article or thing so the TDS is not required on that portion
as it is pure sale

Here in this case total bill comprise of Cost of the parts as well as labour. But they listed out all the parts and labour charges but levied a VAT. It is not AMC but repairs done as and when necessary.
