22 March 2014 what is the scope of TDS if we are receiving services of material movement from a company through all mode of transport (by road, train & air).

22 March 2014 it will cover u/s 194C ,with zero percent rate .as payment to transporter subject to PAN of transporter.(assuming material is brought from outside the plant)..

if the movement is with in the premises of plant same will be chargeable to normal rate.

Movement of material is both inward & outward. Please provide ref clause/sec for better understanding.

Is NIL tds applicable for all mode of transport( by road/air&train)?

22 March 2014 It is Sec. 194C(6): "(6) No deduction shall be made from any sum ... If recipient is Transport Operator and furnishes PAN .
