16 March 2017 A trading concern is paying lorry freight charges around 50 lacs in a year. TDS must be deducted for transport payments or getting the PAN number from transporter is enough.

16 March 2017 if transporter is having PAN, there is no requirement to deduct TDS and payment of Rs. 35000 can be made in cash to transporter.
