13 November 2010 Dear Sir,
We had filed e-tds return for f.y. 07-08 using etds generation software having rpu eligible at that time. The return needs to be rectified. If for generating correction file the FVU is opened in the latest RPU it doenot open and message is given as use RPU 1.8 Correction file is generated and validated through this RPU but NSDL doesnot accept the correction file stating that you have to use new RPU 2.3 version. Data in question is huge and it is impossible to re-enter to a new software to generate a similar FVU in new RPU which can be opened in new RPU for correction. The older software used for generation of etds return also cannot be updated to incorporate new RPU. Please provide a solution.

13 November 2010 Open the original fvu with
e-TDS/TCS RPU (ver 2.3) for statement up to FY 2009-10

and make correction. I have also done the same no error shown.
