TDS is required to be deducted in case if we make payment to travel agent for hotel charges?

12 June 2012 Bills from such SP are classed into
either pure reimbursement for expenses incurred on behalf of the company. Here TDS is not applicable.

Or
Actual expenses incurred for the client & his service charge/commission. TDS is applicable.

Should you give the line items of the bill I can explain you further.

Director of pvt ltd is going abroad for the purpose of business. All management of director's travel,stay at abroad was manage by travel agent. travel agent is also claiming his service charges form pvt ltd.
According to me it is not reimburshment of exp because travel agent will obviously charger his commission or else from company.

12 June 2012 Could you mention the line items in the bill raised by the agent? Have you recived a single bill for all his claims??
