Tax deduction from salary

Insurance premium paid for Rs. 12,000/- but the same has not been shown in u/s 80c and income tax deducted from my Salary income for fy 2015-16.
kindly advice the refund process.

If income tax deducted from salary income for not declaring the premium,still you can claim the refund by filing the income tax return and showing the insurance premium amount in sec 80 c and accordingly compute the refund amount.

See, There are two option to claim your deduction as a salary employee.
1. Give declaration to the company whenever asked by the company and give them photocopy as proof when they asked for the submission....!!!
2. Excess or Less deduction will be payable or refundable at the time of ITR filling...!!!
