19 May 2016 STUDY PLAN FOR CA FINAL GROUP 2

I have attempted my group 1 in the month of May 16, with a leave ofonly 40 days. Now I have entire around 5 months in Hand and have to prepare for group 2 along with if I fail in group 1 in the month of July then both groups.

Considering the subjects of DT, IDT & ISCA what should be the startaegy to atleast aim for 60 in each subject. Whether i should go in for self study or coaching, if self study then which books should i refer so as to clarify my concepts clearly .

19 May 2016 Have a workable time table to complete your syllabus while on time, so that you have ample time for revision. For self preparation you can ponder on the following books:
Direct Tax Law - Vinod Gupta
Indirect Tax Law - Bangar
ISCA - ICAI study material.

These books are comprehensive and will help you in doing self study. Apart from the above reference material you also have to lay your hand on ICAI publications on Recent Case Laws, Supplementary on Amendments, Revision Test Paper. These will aid you as complementary books for having a thorough understanding of the syllabus. If possible you must also attend mock test , to assess your level of preparation and work on your strengths, weakness, presentation and time management in the examination. Have your own short hand written notes, it will help you during the course of exam.

19 May 2016 It is possible if you can stick to a sound and realistic plan to study on your own, even if you did not get any exposure in Indirect Tax Law, you can manage it. However, if you feel short of confidence and want to get an expert walking thru the entire syllabus, then you could think of attending some coaching class. As you are writing examination in May 2017, you still have time to cover your portions.

20 May 2016 Okay, still you have time of about five months in hand. You can draw a systematic plan and try to work on it diligently, surely you will succeed. The key mantra for success is smart dedicated approach with lot of patience.
