28 September 2011 Are there any licenses required to be procured when I start a new CA practising firm...

Also I would like to know procedure for starting partnership CA firm...

28 September 2011 for doing practice as a chartered accountants - permission should be taken from ICAI.

to start a partnership firm procedures in brief are as follows
1.apply to icai for a firm name in form 117

2.make a partnership deed between the partners .

2 once the name approval is obtained file form no 18 with the decentralised office within 30 days .

thats all.
