12 May 2010 X of delhi consigned goods costing Rs 100000 to Y of mumbai.3/5 of goods were sold by consignee for Rs 70000.
commission 2% on sales plus 20% of gross sales less all commission exceeds cost price. what is the amount of total commission??
with solution if possible..

12 May 2010 In my understanding

2% On sales = Rs.1400
Add: Gross sales =70000
less: Cost 1/3 =60000
Balance =10000
less: 2 % Comm = 1400
Balance = 8600
So 8600/120*20 = Rs.1433
Total commission = Rs.2833
