solatium received on compulsory acquisition forms part of consideration and must be considered in computing capital gains. my question is what is "solatium" ?

2. Scots Law. a provision for a sum of money to be paid to an injured party by the party responsible for the injury, over and above compensation paid for damages for injury to feelings.
