Should i do one more attempt or take up the job?

Hi
I have worked in a BPO for 2.5years and left the job in Aug 2008 as i wanted to seriously study for CA Final and clear the exams. But till the last attempt in Nov 09, i have been without a job and also not been able to clear the exams. I have always missed out by few marks. Now i have a job offer at hand, which does not pay me well because of the gap in my resume of 1.5 years. I know that if i take up the job i will not be able to study for the exams. If i don't take the job,then it will increase the gap in resume, not sure if i can clear the exams as well. So, please advise if it is worth taking the risk to leave the job and prepare for the May attempt. Please help me sort this with your guidance.

Hi Anshuman This is where life gives u opportunities.
Same was the case with me. I left job in September and it was the biggest risk because i was earning Rs. 25000 PM. But still my risk paid me off and i m a CA now. So Degree is must Anshuman. You will get lot of oportunities after CA.
Further i had decided that i will help the students like you in clearing the exams. So feel free if u want any favour.

I agree with Rahul.
Once you leave CA; for "whole life" you will feel that you could not achieve in "your life" what you desired !
More than 50% students fail due to aggregate only.
Even in CA final 85% students failed in Accountancy (at the time of joining they told we have interest in accountancy ! - so where is the commitment ? ).
Don't feel tension of passing in May,2010 only. This will reduce your confidence. Be easy (although it is easy to write).
Take deep breathing everyday for 15 minutes in early morning and night assuming that you are gaining enough power from God and He is showering his blessings on you. Feel that as real one as if you have direct connection with God !
My suggestion is that in this May Attempt; apply Zero Base Budgeting for your Studies and target for at least 65%-70% marks in three subjects.
In this attempt even if you do not pass; at least you will get exemption in three subjects.
Have a group of students for group discussion.
Still if you feel that for whole day study is not possible because it would be boring; then engage yourself in some project -
But I am sure; these three subjects will boost your confidence and thereby you will be able to get through.

you dont take any other decision except study you will have too better opurtunities after CA but once you are change to job life you dont have interest on study so frist you must study ok

Think of the day when your parents will see u as a Chartered Accountant.Then start studying . Believe me next attempt u will be CA Sahab.
