I have a query on service tax registration number.

Can we find out the service under which an assessee got registered under service tax using his service tax regisration nmber

08 March 2011 Yes ,provided u have a user id and password allotted from the service tax department.
If so u may do the following.
Visit www.aces.gov.in - click on service tax on the top of home page - enter used id and password in the box appearing - click on 'log on' - click on RET - click on 'file ST-3' - click on 'Fill' - click on 'premises code' - can see the name of service in column 3A.1
