01 May 2012 we are planning to form a new co. which will be a service organization. whether we should get it registered under service tax in the beginning only when we are not sure about the turnover that whether it will exceed rs 10 lakh... ?? after getting it registered can we avail the exemption benifit??

01 May 2012 Service tax registration can be taken only the turnover exceeds Rs.9 Lakhs & if the turnover crossing Rs.10 Lakh then you need to charge service tax

but even turnover less than the specified limit also can be taken registration and avail the basic exemption of Rs.10 lakh

01 May 2012 Service tax registration now online process. visit to www.aces.gov.in. in that service tax page, register with your details and you will get login id & password. login with that details and fill the ST-1 online and submit & take the printout of ST-1 and submit to your service tax circle along with the necessary documents & you will get the ST-2 registration certificate by mail

you may get the certificate by 2 weeks

01 May 2012 No. after submitting the ST-1 online. the same copy has to be taken printout and sign manually, submit the hard copy to your Service tax circle with all the documents like. MOA&AOA,PAN copy, address proof etc.
