A is an individual proposing to start a business of Courier Franchisee under the name 'XYZ AGENCIES'.

A wants to apply for Service Tax Registration, as he does not want to avail the exemption limit.

Query

1. What are the statutory requirements / compliances to be fulfilled by A for his business 'XYZ AGENCIES'?

08 August 2010 1. you need to fill the ST-1 on line in the www.aces.gov.in providing Agnency name as applicant under the properiter name and get the ST-2 certificate and charge ST on the bills and pay ST monthly and file the return Half yearly

2. Proeritor ID & Address proof
Business place address proof
PAN Card of the Properitor
along with the ST-1 online submitted copy need to give to the department
