04 August 2012 sir we are the manufacturer of copper and brass tubes and we use saw blade for cutting tubes and need to blade resharpening and we do that through job work party supply us bill resharpening charges and saw tip change bill. so i want to know that is service tax applicable on that job work under notification no. 24/2012-ST.

04 August 2012 If the final product sold by you is leviable to duty and appropriate duty is paid on the final product then Service tax is not applicable on job work charges.
