Service Tax Liability

My client is registerd with service tax having registration, however in current fy his receipts are about 9.2 Lac, whether he is liable to pay service tax since he has n't crossed 10 lac mark.

he is already register, still is the same case no liability to pay service tax as his receipts are lesser then 10 lac.

This case registration required, service tax can pay after crossing Rs.10 Lakh

The liability of service tax would depend upon the receipts of the previous financial year. In case the receipts of the previous year are less than Rs 10 lakhs, then no service tax would be required to be remitted upto Rs 10 lakhs during the current year. However, where the receipts of the previous year exceeds Rs 10 lakhs, service tax would be required to be discharged right from Re 1.
