Sir, We have a labour contractor in our company whos turnover cross 10 lakh last year hence he charged service tax in his bill. But in current year he is not expecting turnover would cross 10 lakh limit. Shall he avail exumption facility or he is liable to charge service tax from very first bill from April 12 onwards

The labour contractor whose turnover crossed Rs. 10 lakhs in preceeding fy has to pay ST since beginning as the exemption is not available.
