13 September 2017 Can service tax liability be adjusted against GST payable? Since the assessee has not rendered the service and made refund of advances received before June, 2017.

13 September 2017 Any previous Tax regime's liabilities ll be pay / payable to particular tax regime only. Don't pay it in GST...

13 September 2017 What about excess payment made under service tax? can that be adjusted against GST liability?
Sir, A customer booked a flat and paid Rs. 1,00,000 towards service tax separately, and the builder subsequently paid the same to govt., However on cancellation of the flat, the builder is reluctant to pay service tax paid. Therefore, if he can adjust the same against his GST liability than the customer can fight for refund of service tax as well

13 September 2017 He cannot adjust the service tax against GST, But still he might have paid service tax of june on net advance after reducing your refund only, So you may try your luck for getting the ST back.
