I wish to clarify a doubt regarding Service Tax.

1.Whether individual rceived rental from the house Properties let out for residential purpose is exempt even the amount Exceeds Rs.10 lakh P.a.?

2 Even Multible Apartment built for residential purpose by an company can be claim exempt under Service Tax?

25 March 2015 If it is a residential property no service tax applicable.
If it is a commercial property service tax applicable. After deducting municipal tax if it exceeds 10 lacs, service tax payable on amount exceeding 10 lacs for the first year. Then afterwards service tax payable on entire amount.
As the property is situated in Bangalore you should apply for registration in Bangalore. You can register through online ACES website and send the pint out.

27 March 2015 1. Yes it is exempted if let out for residential purpose even if it exceeds 10 lacs.
2. If it is for residential purpose it is exempted.
