Self assessment tax not updated in 26as

I was filing itr -1, there was a tax payable of 5000, which i paid on 28/09/2017, hsant been updated till now. I use excel utility, while i enter the bsr code and tax payment detail, it doesnt get updated in final sheet. it still shows amount payable as 5000. Is it because of non - updation in 26 as ? Please help. Thank you.

The payment updation is not linked to Excel Utility... You can enter the Payment details in Self Assessment Tax paid column and Click the option of Calculate Tax. Then it ll be reflect...
Also you ll be check your payment update in TIN website using Challan Status...

After filling tax payment details refresh the sheet or auto calculate tax option.
Tax payment will be reflected..

Even if it is not shown then enable macros of sheet

normally it takes 3-4 working days to get the amount reflected in 26AS.

considering the novice culture of querist, it is better to ask him to wait......
else return can be uploaded with "payable demand" as well
and the excel utility needs to be validated after you fill the self assessment tax details, and click on calculate tax button...... i think he is not doing so, it seems.....

Yes he exactly not validate thats why problem arise.
