Please advice about mediclaim amount u/s 80D i.e the policy premium is 11758+ s.tax. will be applicable with service tax or without service tax ?

10 May 2014 there are two opinions. I am in in favor of including service tax as it is a statutory expense incurred to keep the policy in force.

10 May 2014 It will b allowed whatever the amount paid by u as mediclaim. So it will b allowed fully i.e, with ST.
