do we have to make entries in register maintained u/s 372A for a period when section was not applicable.

eg. investment made my private company later converted into public ltd. (investments made in other body corporate when company was private limited)

do we have to record such transaction after conversion of co. into public limited.

As per law, applicability will arise to maintain register when your company change the status from private to public.

But if you give the details of investment before such conversion then it will be good for company to maintaining the track record of investment.

It is totally depend on management decision what they want.
