If i have purchased a furniture on 1st march 2007. Now standing in March 2014 asset used life is to be calculated from 1st of March i.e dt. of purchase either to consider it as full year used in 2006-07.

for 2006 07 only 1 month i.e of march 2007 and then 2007-08 till 2013-14 = 7 years u need to take.
