can somebody guide me as to what is the difference between SAP and SAS.which out of it is more demanded.if i intend to make a career in Finance which one is recomended.

SAP is an ERP like Oracle having various Interactive Modules like FI/CO/SD/MM etc.
SAS is an Statistical Analysis used for Analytics.
For finance it is useful to learn SAP (FI/CO/PS) or Oracle(Financials/Projects) etc than going for SAS.
SAS is useful for Analytics and more Marketing Research, Actuary, and Statistical Analysis work.
