if a employee joined a abc ltd on 10/07/2009.his pay scale is as Rs.16000-500-20000-500-25000.whether we will increase his salary from 10/07/2010 or 31/03/2010?

I HAVE TO ASK ,WHY SHALL WE NOT INCREASE EMPLOYEE SALARY FROM 31.03.2010?

Because Term and scale is for One year from the date of joining , it is not calculated in Financial year or calender year.
