i want to know that is it mantadery to maintain stock register RG-1 for maintaing the stock staus as per excise rules

Daily stock account is to be maintained. the from RG-1 has been done away with. Private records which porovide the details for opening balacne, manufactured quantiyt and removed quantity and closing balscne would suffice.
