if you are in Merchant Navy, are you sure you have NRI status. As per NRI definition temporary layover at foreign location are treated as Exceptions.
If you are Resident then one has to file return if taxable income is more than max exemption limit.

i have NRI A/C &in this year i m non resident as i m out of india for 200 days, please tell my obligation to file the return
