Return of refund cheque of income tax

12 April 2012 Our client had received refund cheque from Income Tax department(CPC Bangalore) through SBI for AY 2009-10 but due to the office premises being closed the refund cheque was returned back undelivered.

My query is how to get the refund cheque back as the local IT office says that they do not receive the undelivered cheques issued by CPC bangalore.

16 April 2012 First you should change your address in pan database and then you have file a application to CPC banaglore for change in address. application file in percribed format which is available on IT site. you can download it after log in Income tax site.
