02 August 2014 Can we online file our income tax return u/s 153a for the previous six assessment year. or it is required to be submitted offline to the respective commissioner.

02 August 2014 If there is no change in revised return then no need to file return again. Simply write a letter to concerned DCIT to treat the original return as return filled U/s153A. If there is any change then there is option to file online return.My experience says it is always better to file online return.

Can you provide me the process of online e filing of return u/s 153a .As return become time barred after 2 Years. And my colleagues told that Income Tax efiling site does not accept the return after 2 years. So how can i online upload return of previous six assessment years.

02 August 2014 Go to income tax site and download the respective ITR form from respective years. Then fill the form and submit it. Remember return filling section should choose as section 153A. Two year time limit is for normal return.

05 August 2014 income-tax department doesn't accept 139(4) and 139(5) returns after the due date prescribed under the respective sub-sections of section 139.

returns under 142, 153a, 148 etc are not barred by these provisions.
