You may try for this. As I know, while you file a manual return, details of previous return is also asked. You have to give Ward No, Machine No, and Date of filing. . Nowadays these details are checked by the clerk and if does not find the same correct, he may refuse from accepting the return. .

ok, in case of efiling ,can i file the return mentioning new address different from pan card address ,or first i will have to change address of my pan card?
Filing ITR with Different Address than PAN Card Address Manual Filing: You can physically file your income tax return (ITR) in a different city than the one mentioned on your PAN card. However, the tax department may ask for details like Ward Number, Machine Number, and previous filing info. If these details don’t match, the return might get rejected or returned for corrections.
E-Filing: When filing online, you can mention a different address in your ITR than your PAN card address. The PAN itself doesn’t need to be updated for this. The address in the PAN database and the address in your tax return can be different.
Changing PAN Address: It is not mandatory to update the address on PAN before filing your return. But for future official communications from the Income Tax Department, it is good practice to keep your PAN address updated.
Summary: You can file ITR in a different city manually but there might be practical hurdles.
E-filing allows different address input, no need to change PAN address before filing.
Updating PAN address is recommended for correspondence but not mandatory to file return.
